The UAE Lottery
Operated by The Game LLC — The UAE’s First Federally Licensed Lottery
Brief History
The UAE Lottery is the country’s first and only federally licensed lottery, and the first of its kind in the Gulf region. In September 2023, the UAE established the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) as the federal body responsible for overseeing all commercial gaming activities. In July 2024, the GCGRA awarded its inaugural lottery licence to The Game LLC, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi–based entertainment group Momentum. Tickets went on sale in November 2024, and the inaugural live draw took place on 14 December 2024.
In its first year of operation, the UAE Lottery celebrated over 100,000 winners and distributed more than AED 147 million in prizes. On 18 October 2025, the lottery crowned its first AED 100 million jackpot winner — the biggest single prize in UAE lottery history. In November 2025, the flagship Lucky Day draw was upgraded from bi-weekly to weekly.

How to Play
Players register an account on the official UAE Lottery website (theuaelottery.ae), complete identity verification (KYC), and deposit funds. For the Lucky Day draw, players choose six numbers from 1–31 (representing “lucky days”) and one number from 1–12 (representing a “lucky month”). Match all seven numbers to win the grand prize. Each ticket also generates a Lucky Chance ID for a bonus draw. Scratch cards are played digitally on the website.
Plans for a mobile app and retail locations (convenience stores, fuel stations) have been announced but not yet launched.

The Game LLC also holds World Lottery Association (WLA) Level 2 Responsible Gaming Certification.
The GCGRA has publicly confirmed that only three lottery/raffle operations are legally authorised in the UAE: The UAE Lottery, Big Ticket Abu Dhabi, and Dubai Duty Free. Engaging with unlicensed operators is illegal and carries severe penalties.
