To meet the demand from many of our visitors asking us for Irish Lotto predictions, we decided to enlist the help of two Lotto betting lovers with very different approaches to picking their numbers.
We also decided to make things interesting by putting them head to head in competition every week to see who comes out on top!

The Lotto Geek returned to winning ways last week, but did they get yet another win over the Lotto Guru in the week 12 Irish Lotto predictions face-off?
Let’s take a look...
As usual, the Lotto Guru looked to the week’s big events for inspiration, although she felt that a lack of celebrity birthdays had been holding her back. Therefore, she concluded these were the numbers: 3 – 5 – 22 – 29 – 36 – 47.
The Lotto Geek, meanwhile, has never been more confident in his formula involving picking the Irish Lotto’s most overdue numbers, which last week were: 1 – 10 – 15 – 21 – 36 – 47.
Below are last week’s Irish Lotto results, to show us whose predictions were best.
14 Aug 2019:
15 18 25 29 39 40
17 Aug 2019:
By a strong 3-1 scoreline, the Lotto... GEEK was the winner once again!
Never doubt the formula. Never doubt the Geek.
Week-after-week I’m showing that the most overdue Irish Lotto numbers are much better than these namby pamby guesses from the Guru.
You should especially watch out for number 21 this week, though, as it’s not been draw in over three months – so it is well overdue.
My Irish Lotto predictions this week are:
17 21 24 36 43 47I don’t understand how this Geek can keep beating me. Even Jennifer Lawrence’s 29th birthday wasn’t even enough for me.
I trust in the stars, though, and as I’m a passive Pothead (a Harry Potter fan, obviously) I can’t ignore that the adorable Ron Weasley (AKA Rupert Grint) turns 31 this week – which I can scarcely believe! It’s also the final week for Friends’ Matthew Perry as a 49-year-old, but we’re surely Chandler will be chilled about it...
Taylor Swift also releases album 7 this week, called Lover – but it can surely only be going to number 1!
In the weekend’s football, Man City were the first to flinch as a last VAR decision prevented them from beating Spurs, while Liverpool held on for a remarkable 11th straight league win – equalling their club record – although there’s still a way to go before they can break the league record of 18 set by Man City.
And there we have my lucky numbers for the week ahead:
1 7 11 18 31 49
