About the 49's Lottery


The 49s lunch and teatime lottery was set up for people who love the lotto and can’t wait for the next draw! It was originally only available in bookmakers shops but you can now bet online.


  • 6 main balls plus a booster ball are drawn from a selection of 1 – 49. E.g.: 1 6 16 28 32 45 Bonus 22
  • Betting without the booster ball (best payout) – you can bet on up to 5 balls appearing from any of the main 6 drawn
  • Betting with the bonus ball (slightly lower payout because it’s easier!) – you can bet on up to 5 balls appearing from any of the main 6 drawn or the booster ball


The 49s is drawn twice daily at lunchtime 12:49pm (GMT) and teatime 16:49pm (GMT).

Six numbers and an additional bonus ball (The Booster) are drawn from a pot of balls numbered from 1-49.
The 49's Lotto is drawn twice a day at lunchtime 12.49 (UK Time) and teatime 16.49 (UK Time).
Although it varies with companies, typically you'll need to place your bets at least 15 minutes before the draw.
It’s up to you! You can bet on between 1 and 5 balls being drawn from the main 6 balls or 7 (if you want to include the booster ball and make it easier) This flexibility is one of the reason betting on the lotteries is so popular.
