Coral started life as an independent retail bookmaker in the UK, growing to 1,800 shops. In 2016 Coral merged with Ladbrokes to become ‘Ladbrokes Coral’ which in turn was acquired by the gambling giant Entain.
Being part of Entain has the advantages of economies of scale - this is the reason the Ladbrokes website and Coral website are now very visually similar.
What exactly does this mean for lotto bettors? Well, unfortunately, it’s not all good news. Since the merger both Coral and Ladbrokes have started offering odds on fewer lotteries. Previously Coral offered odds on more lotteries than any other bookmaker - now, they only offer odds on Irish, Daily Millions and 49’s.
Coral and Ladbrokes both independently set their odds for the lotteries offered. Coral are typically better odds than Ladbrokes although are quite below par when compared to other bookmakers such as Betfred or bet365.

Hi Martin, thanks for the comment. We don't feature the New York Lotto at Coral as they don't offer it online - it must be in shops only. Next time we visit a Coral shop we'll be sure to try to put on a New York Lotto bet to see if we can spot the same issue as you.

Hi Sandra, Odds might differ depending if the bet is placed in a shop or online. Using a Connet card won't affect odds as this is only changed depending on where you've placed the bet.
