AgeUk is the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping people later in life. They work to tackle loneliness and support communities, conduct vital research and much more. By playing this charity lottery you will be supporting AgeUK to help people throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In 2017-18 AgeUK reached over 7 million people and over £47.9 million has been raised through the weekly lottery. All net profits from the lottery go directly to support the charitable work of AgeUK locally and nationally. In 2017-18 they funded 3,500 home energy checks through the Winter Warmth programme and also helped older people identify £212 million in unclaimed benefits.
The AgeUK Lottery drawn each week and one player will win the top prize of £2,000. Once a quarter the weekly draw is replaced by the Superdraw which is open to regular Age UK lottery players. Here, 5,000 players can win anything from £10 to the top prize of £25,000.
Entries to Age UK charity lottery cost £1 and 54p of that goes towards supporting Age UK’s charity work. This is more than all major non-charity-run lotteries such as The National Lottery and Euromillions donate to charitable causes. The rest of the money funds the 1,000 weekly prizes, 5,000 quarterly Superdraw prizes, and the running of the lottery itself. The Age UK Weekly Lottery appreciates the enormous generosity of its players by rewarding them with 1,000 guaranteed prizes every week. With no roll overs, each week one player will win the top prize of £2,000 and 999 players win between £10-£250 in runner-up prizes.
