The Fire Fighters charity, which was founded in 1943 is the UK’s leading provider of rehabilitation and support services to the fire and rescue community including serving and retired firefighters, fire service personnel and their dependents. The Charity provide services that enhances their quality of life though a range of support programmes including physical rehabilitation, psychological support, recuperation and a confidential helpline which provides impartial advice, guidance and support on a wide range of concerns. It costs over £8 million every year to keep the charity running and since its launch in 2002, the Fire Fighters lottery has raised over £9 million for the charity.
The Fire Fighters Lottery is held monthly and tickets cost £1 each. You can buy as many as you like. There will be 31 guaranteed monthly winners plus one rollover cash prize. Each month the guaranteed jackpot is 20% of the total proceeds that is bought in by the lottery, up to a maximum of £25,000. There is also the rollover second prize of £1000 which will roll over up to nine times at which point it will become a guaranteed prize. Thirty cash prizes of £50 are also up for grabs each month. At least 58p from every £1 goes directly to fund The Fire Fighters Charity. 22p covers the prize fund and 20p goes towards recruiting new players and the running costs of the lottery.
