Our Opinion:

Great! We love the style of the ad and the messaging. Betfred have referenced the 49’s and the Nifty Fifty - interestingly, there is no mention of the popular Irish Lotto. This could be just for simplicity and keeping the ad message clear. The bet that’s referenced is pick and match 3 balls - this is the most popular bet for Lotto Bettors due to it’s balance between large odds/returns but still with a favourable probability of winning - so this makes sense to feature in the ad.

Our Opinion:

Again, we love the general style and feel of the ad.

This ad is focused entirely on the Nifty Fifty - this is a product developed by Betfred and only offered by Betfred. It was also built around Lottery Bettors (as opposed to Irish Lotto, Powerball, etc which were designed for ticket purchasers). As such, it makes sense for Betfred to push the Nifty Fifty. We wrote a previous blog post about how revolutionary the Nifty Fifty is for Lotto Bettors.

This ad focuses on the jackpot (£5M) rather than pick and match 3 balls - although betting on the jackpot is less popular than the pick and match 3 balls option it’s perhaps a good way to entice new players in. The £10,000 consolation is a new feature and attractive to players making a £1 bet - imagine getting so close and not getting a penny!
