Over five years ago CompareTheLotto.com was launched with our easy to use odds comparison tables - helping you get the best value for money by comparing all of the UK bookmakers in one easy format. We highlighted the best odds and the best offers.
Moving on a couple of years, CompareTheLotto.com launched the Lotto Odds Calculator - this gave our users the chance to select a lottery, enter their stake and select the number of balls they like to bet on. Essentially, making it much easier to compare across different lotteries - for example, on the Irish Lotto, you can get 700/1 for matching 3 balls and 1300/1 on the New York Lottery with some operators.*
Today, we’re launching our latest innovation - the Multiple bet calculator. Many users that bet on the Irish or 49’s lotto will select ‘Multiple’, ‘Combination’ or ‘exotic’ bet types to increase their chances of getting a return. Sometimes the jargon can sound complicated but in a nutshell, rather than just placing one bet where you have to match all numbers to win, you’re giving yourself multiple chances to win depending on the bet type selected. Read more about the different bet types here. CompareTheLotto.com now has the ability to compare these bet types across the major UK bookmakers.
Currently, you can compare the following bet types using our Multiple lottery betting calculator: (we’ll be adding Lucky 15s and Patents soon)
For an explanation of how each of these bet types work, click here. If there are any other bet types you would like included just mention them in the comments below.
As always, it pays to visit CompareTheLotto.com before placing your lottery bets. Take a look at the difference in winnings depending on the bookmaker you choose for an Irish Lotto Yankee bet - £11,660* if you bet (at time of writing) with Betfred vs £10,360* if you bet with Boyle Sports. A massive £1,300 difference.
