After working in the gambling industry for over a decade, Oliver spotted an opportunity to setup a resource for lottery bettors. CompareTheLotto.com was founded in 2014, with Bet49s.com and Bet49s.co.za following shortly after. The aim is to find the best odds, offers and information for lottery bettors.

Ladbrokes and Coral have added two new numbers draws to their lotto betting range: Fast 15’s and 39’s. Both come from SIS, the company that runs the 49’s, and at the time of writing Ladbrokes and Coral are the only UK bookmakers offering them.
The two games have a lot in common with the 49’s — live ball draws, fixed odds, and you choose how many numbers to back — but they work on a very different scale. Below we set out the facts: how often they’re drawn, how many balls are in play, the odds on offer, and how they compare with the 49’s, Betfred’s Nifty Fifty and the Irish Lotto.
| Fast 15’s | 39’s | |
|---|---|---|
| Provider | SIS | SIS |
| Ball pool | 1–15 | 1–39 |
| Balls drawn | 3 | 5 |
| Bonus ball | No | No |
| Draw frequency | Every 3 minutes | Every 3 minutes |
| Numbers you can back | 1 to 3 | 1 to 5 |
| UK availability | Ladbrokes, Coral | Ladbrokes, Coral |
Fast 15’s is the simplest numbers game we’ve covered. There are just 15 balls in the machine and three are drawn. You pick one, two or three numbers, and your bet wins if all of the numbers you picked are among the three drawn. There’s no bonus ball and no “with or without” option to choose.
With such a small pool, the chances of winning are much higher than on a traditional lotto — and the prices are correspondingly much shorter. The odds at Ladbrokes and Coral are:
| Numbers backed | Ladbrokes odds | Coral odds |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4.507/2 | 4.507/2 |
| 2 | 29.0028/1 | 29.0028/1 |
| 3 | 401400/1 | 401400/1 |
You can see the latest prices on our Fast 15’s odds page, or work out what a bet would return with our Fast 15’s bet calculator.
39’s draws five balls from a pool of 39. As with the 49’s, you choose how many numbers to back — here, between one and five — and your bet wins if every number you picked is among the five drawn. Again, there is no bonus ball. The odds at Ladbrokes and Coral are:
| Numbers backed | Ladbrokes odds | Coral odds |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 7.006/1 | 7.006/1 |
| 2 | 61.0060/1 | 61.0060/1 |
| 3 | 731730/1 | 731730/1 |
| 4 | 13,00113,000/1 | 13,00113,000/1 |
| 5 | 115,001115,000/1 | 115,001115,000/1 |
The latest prices are on our 39’s odds page, and you can check potential returns, including singles, doubles and trebles, with our 39’s bet calculator.
This is the biggest difference from every other numbers game we cover. Both Fast 15’s and 39’s are drawn every three minutes — that’s up to 20 draws an hour for each game. The two schedules are staggered, so there is rarely more than a minute or two between one draw and the next. Like the 49’s, they are live ball draws rather than computer-generated results, using ball machines certified by the testing lab GLI.
| Game | Draw frequency |
|---|---|
| Fast 15’s | Every 3 minutes |
| 39’s | Every 3 minutes |
| Nifty Fifty | 5 times a day |
| 49’s | 4 times a day |
| Irish Lotto | 3 times a week (Mon, Wed, Sat) |
The table below shows the best odds currently available for the same bet on each game. For the 49’s, Nifty Fifty and Irish Lotto these are the “without bonus ball” prices, so every game is compared on the main balls only. Decimal odds show the total return for every £1 staked on a winning bet, including your stake.
| Numbers backed | Fast 15’s 3 from 15 |
39’s 5 from 39 |
49’s 6 from 49 |

A few things stand out:
At the time of writing, Fast 15’s and 39’s are only available in the UK at Ladbrokes and Coral. The two brands are both owned by Entain and share the same betting platform, so the games appear in the lotto section of each site. Both currently offer the same odds. We track them on our 39’s odds and Fast 15’s odds pages, and if other bookmakers pick the games up, we’ll add them there.

Games drawn every few minutes make it easy to place more bets, and spend more, than you intended. If you choose to bet on Fast 15’s or 39’s, a few practical steps help:
